Aerial Installation Associations

The main organisation is the CAI (Confederation of Aerial Industries) it was established in 1978, the CAI is a trade association for companies within the TV and radio signal industry throughout the UK. The company represents over 15,000 individuals who work within the industry and includes a large number of aerial installers, distributors, retailers and consultants. The confederation works to raise standards within the industry and is strict in allocating membership. In order to qualify as a member, applicants must satisfy the board directors of the CAI that they conduct a sound and reputable business, have the required levels of insurance cover, comply with exacting standards laid down in their Codes of Practice, full fill minimum trading requirements, have satisfactory installation requirements and have trade references etc.

Confederation of Aerial IndustriesWith each company that's a part of the CAI there is guarantee on any work they carry out for you as they have to have the right level of cover before they can even become a part of the CAI, and if the company that provide the service for you do not up hold the policy then CAI will provide a repair service for you for up to 1 year after the work is carried out in most cases. As well as making sure the companies they have under their name carry out their job correctly they also give advice on different services that are now available such as free view. There are different levels of cover for the companies depending on what kind of work they carry out whether it is just domestic or for different companies, if the work they are doing is for companies as well they will need a higher level of cover before joining.
